Miquel Àngel Julià


Barcelona. Architect, graduated by Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB / UPC). He holds a master in Theory and Practice of the Architecture Project and PhD in Retail and Workplace. In 2000 he joined Idea Arquitectura i Enginyeria, being a partner of Grup Idea since 2010. He is currently the director of Strategy and Design. Combining professional practice with teaching activity in different universities, he focuses his work on criticism and research on contemporary architecture in media and also in magazines like Icandela, AFL or Arqco from Interempresas Media. Also, he has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the Architecture Congress 2016, co-director of the Product Design Postgraduate Course of the Sert School from COAC and collaborator in the Architecture Week 2019. Currently he is the coordinator of the Grup Treball Retail COAC and member of the Facility Management working group. Julià is vice-president of the Retail Design Institute Spain and a guest lecturer in several academic events.
